Sanmira Hotel is a small hotel picturesquely situated close to the beautiful bay of Unawatuna on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Located on a slight rise and shaded by coconut palms just footsteps from the calm, milky blue water of the Indian Ocean our modern hotel is in an ideal location from where guests may easily explore the beautiful beaches and fascinating attractions of this southern coast area, close to Galle.
Guests staying at Sanmira Renaissance will feel enveloped in the warmth of the traditional Sri Lankan hospitality that radiates from our staff and cosseted by the ample comfort of our spacious en-suite rooms. Our fabulous Sri Lankan and international cuisine carefully created by our experienced chefs will further enhance a stay at our hotel while guests can enjoy dining in various scenic places throughout our hotel and peaceful garden.
Our spacious 24 air conditioned rooms spread out over the two upper floors of our hotel afford our guests every comfort and convenience during their stay. Simply but stylishly designed, each of our rooms feature comfortable double beds with thick mattresses, cosy pillows and soft linen, wardrobes, TVs, mini bars and telephones and are complimented by attractive and colourful en-suite bathrooms. Twelve of our rooms located to the front of the hotel have sweeping sea views from their panoramic windows while our other twelve rooms enjoy partial sea and palm garden vistas.

Sanmira Hotel is located close to many beautiful beaches that beg to be explored, the closest of which is Unawatuna, an attractive sandy bay popular for lounging and snorkelling that was once voted one of the most beautiful in the world. The virtually deserted palm-fringed beaches of Dalawella, Talpe and Mirissa are also a very short distance away.

Our experienced chefs create memorable cuisine from our modern state-of-the-art kitchen while hospitable waiters discreetly serve guests in our spacious and airy main restaurant or in one of the smaller upstairs dining areas. Sri Lankan dishes are lovingly created for the enjoyment of first time visitors while international cuisine will tempt even the most testing palate. Our facilities allow us to cater for approximately 200 people so we are an ideal choice for functions such as weddings, birthday parties and business meetings.
