| I stayed at Gomez Place in July 2008. I have the most enjoyable stay. The place is clean and served daily with fresh towels and clean bed linen. Mr Gomez is a relaxed, helpful and most caring person who will do anything in order to make you feel at home and looked after, his friendly staff are always doing their best to accommodate your needs. Plenty fresh tropical fruit and nice natural juice in your abundant breakfast is what you need to start your day in Sri Lanka. Mr Gomez gives you the best advice on safe and secure transport and will even go with you to some tourist attractions. He is Great. I will be back in December. Muchas gracias Papito!!! |

Just love Gomez Place
I have just arrived back home to Australia after 10 Days at Gomez Place, It was my first trip to Sri Lanka and I didn't know what expect , All of my emails to Gomez prior too my arrival were answered almost immediately with transfers and tours all confirmed ,Gomez himself is an amazing host and his staff are wonderful, The rooms are cleaned daily and are large and comfortable with ceiling fans and a/c, The pool is very clean and refreshing , Breakfast each day was yummy with fresh fruit ,Eggs toast and coffee, I have nothing negative to report about Gomez place and I have already rebooked to return in a couple of months .
Finally , My thanks to Gomez ,Anton and all of the staff who,s name I cant either remember or pronounce, Thanks for everything , See you all again Soon . |

| An Oasis in Negombo |

The hotel is located on a quiet side street away from the noise and hustle of the main street of Negombo Beach. The gardens around the hotel give it a feeling of homeliness.
I have stayed over 6 times now and I keep coming back. I discovered it by mistake when a friend suggested I stay there. It is a dramatic better value than other "resorts" I have stayed at in the neighbourhood. In my opinion, it's much better.
The breakfast every morning which is included in the rate has fresh fruit, eggs to your choice, toast, jam, coffee or tea. It helps a lot of you have been out partying the night before!
The pool is located at the front of the hotel and is secluded and private. A great place to lay around in the sun and meet new people.
One of the biggest issues in Sri Lanka is fast and reliable wi-fi, especially in Negombo. But I keep coming back here because there are multiple routers around the complex and wi-fi is fast, really fast.
I always book the driver to collect and return me to the airport which is about 15 minutes away. They will even pick you up at 3 or 4 in the morning for the same rate, without a surcharge. It's pretty good.
Overall, I find Gomez Place to be a great place to stay and great value for money. And like most Sri Lankans, Mr Gomez and the staff are very friendly and a great intro to Sri Lanka.
I recommend it highly. That's why I keep coming back. |

I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A SHORT COMMENT ON MY STAY AT GOMEZ PLACE. The weather was stifling hot, but the staff made every effort to attend to every need . Nothing was too much for them. They were all cheerful and friendly under the wise guidance of Gomez himself, who never missed a trick.
A very friendly place with much to offer.

This past Xmas we could enjoy for the first time the outstanding amenities that Gomez Place offers: Mr Gomez's exceptional availability and willingness to help to find the best solutions to our requests; the sensational room / shower; the royal double bed meeting high expectations; the extremely friendly and serviceable staff; the spic-and-span cleanliness.
Everything seems to be set up to please the eye and the soul.
We definitely plan to be back.

We found this little gem it was fab the owner Gomez is very kind and help full so is all his staf from you arrive sad to go home (: rooms cleaned everyday nice breakfast cooked fresh each morning met some other very nice quests from around the world highly recommend hoping to go back later in year for 2 weeks |

Me spent 6 nights at Gomez Place and was very happy there. Each room has a safe, AC and fan. Rooms are spacious and
clean. The swimming pool is great and there is a nice relaxing eating area. Breakfast was very good, fresh juice, a huge fruit plate followed by eggs (any way you want), toasts, cheese and marmalade.
But what really makes this guesthouse truly a top in Negombo is Gomez and his staff. You will feel there like a family member, extremely friendly and accommodating staff will make sure you really to feel comfortable. All working boys are more than happy to answer your questions and every request met with immediate response "No problem Sir". I would definitely recommend Gomez Place to my friends and look forward to returning some day. Keep up your great work, you are simply the best. |

We are a couple from Russia and had a really wonderful time during our stay at Gomez place. That was our first time there and we do hope not the last one. Gomez and all the staff are very nice and caring people. It was great to get acquainted with residents of the hotel, to meet various nationalities there and spend unforgettable vacations. The location is good, cars with drivers are available for you to travel around the whole island. Many thanks to its hospitality and a pleasure we had a chance to get. | I recently had a very pleasant few days at Gomez Place shortly after the terrorist bomb attacks in this area. In my opinion the visiting tourist can once again have a happy, relaxing and peaceful stay in Sri Lanka. In fact, perhaps of the excellent security that now prevails on the island, the tourist is probably now safer than at any time in the last 10 years. You can come to Sri Lanka and especially Gomez Place and relax in complete safety. |

i stayed at GOMEZ from 17-Aug to 21-Aug..I enjoyed much with this small place..the staff were very friendly and good service..
I just prefer to have a bit more room amenities and it would be nice if he can have phone in the room..but it was not a problem..staff are always around there to fullfill your every needs.

I love my transporter..who really care..
Good location..very closed to all restaurants around there which you can enjoy at night..
Love to go back there soon..

Un personnel très attentionné, des chambres spacieuses très personnalisées, une situation à la fois proche de l'océan (quelques minutes à pied) et dans une ruelle à l'écart du brouhaha de la ville, une piscine, un jardin agréable, un jacuzzi. Tout cela pour un prix très raisonnable.
L'endroit idéal pour démarrer un circuit que monsieur Gomez se fera un plaisir de vous organiser. Et pour vous relaxer, d'excellents masseurs à votre disposition. Que demander de plus ? |
