This echo tourist bungalow is situated in a 15 acre land, bordering the Mulatiyana reserve jungle, an evergreen forest in close proximity to the Sinharaja tropical rain forest exhibiting characteristics similar to those of the mighty, virgin Sinharaja forest. A beautiful crystal clear stream flows through the jungle with its multiple and natural water pools in which one could swim to one’s heart’s content. A range of colourful mountains robed with misty clouds surrounds the bungalow.

The whole countryside is a bird’s paradise and is a wild sanctuary for endemic & migrating birds. The enchanting melodies of the birds blended with the rampant noises of the jungle and the rustling noises of the cascading waterfalls break the stillness of the environment. There are 34 species of birds including 7 endemic species. Especially a visit to the location on a moon - lit night will offer you and your family unforgettable memories of a lifetime and an excellent opportunity to enjoy the exotic, enchanting, and panoramic view surrounding you. The bungalow is a very safe place for a family on vacation and is provided with appropriate security.

The bungalow is located at the top of a hillock providing a panoramic birds eye view of the area. The location itself creates an ambiance of serenity and calmness, enhancing the scenic beauty of the surroundings. Electricity is provided from the main grid together with an ample supply of water from a unpolluted natural source.
The bungalow keeper or an experienced person will accompany you for a trek in the jungle covered with flora and fauna of the tropics. The bungalow cook is an expert of Sri Lankan cuisine. He has provisions for a basic meal but visitors are recommended to take their own provisions and refreshments for a meal of their choice. Refrigeration facilities are available.

The bungalow has four spacious cosy rooms and one common sharing accommodation(Dome with six beds) fitted with fans, two halls, two attached toilets fitted with modern sanitary ware, hot water and a separate modern toilet at the rear together with a servant’s toilet, three eco type toilets. Pipe borne water is available. Fourteen beds are available and another ten persons could be accommodated comfortably on ground mattresses.

Activities

1.Burd watching –This fifteen acre land and its bordering jungle is a wild sanctuary for birds. The setting is ideal for bird watching with the bungalow on the hill top and scattered trees in the hill slopes &the fifteen Acer land.(Refer gust book.)

2.Jungle trekking –EJH is surrounded by the forest(6000 acres reserve forest in sinharaja buffer zone) visitors have direct access to he jungle from the resort any time of the day .Ideal location for Rain forest researchers.

3. Mountenering –EJH is surrounded by mountains covered with the jungle giving a ideal setup for mountain climbers.

4.Bathing in natural water pools- The main stream of the jungle passes through EJH which contain many water poles and falls. One may not enjoy this facility in very dry seasons.

5.Play ground –EJH has its own play ground for cricket ,volley ball jogging

6. Jogging-Ample space to jog in the fifteen acer land in the natural environment.

7.Cycling is enjoyable in the resort and in the mountain roads. Visitors will have to bring their own bicycles.
