Only 15 minutes drive from the Bandaranaike International Airport, Goldi Sands Hotel is situated right on the beach amidst the swaying coconut palms of Negombo.
Negombo is situated by the shores of a lagoon and was once a trading port for the Portuguese and the Dutch. Attractions in the city include the old Dutch fort gate built in 1672 now a part of the prison, the Dutch Canal that was then a supply route to the Dutch administration, old churches and sleepy fishing villages.
